CHS has an opening for a full time Nurse Practitioner to work in our onsite health unit clinic at the Nissan plant in Canton, MS.
SCOPE:
The Nurse Practitioner must be able to perform medical history interviews and exams specifically related to work-related injuries and illnesses. Candidate must be able to work well with other staff members and support the Site Manager’s efforts to build an effective and efficient team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current, active and unrestricted MS Nurse Practitioner license required
Must be board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Must possess direct patient care expertise, knowledge and practical skills - good patient assessment skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with others
Knowledge of EMR system preferred
Prefer work experience in occupational and/or employee health, primary care or ER settings
Orthopedics, suturing and knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping experience a plus
